Steve, the new Keeper on Rona, and some-times AppleNet Engineer, is just making his way down the hill after making some changes to the Rona Hill-top Mast. Massive thank you to Steve! It's maybe too early to tell but the issue affecting all customers beyond Rona hasn't yet resurfaced. We will continue to monitor it...

The AppleNet switch up at the mast on Rona has just stopped responding, and everything downstream is offline. Steve is going to have a look tomorrow, which is amazing - not the easiest place to get to! We have a spare switch over there up at the mast.

The radio on Rona which connects to Diabaig just started disconnecting from the switch up on Rona. That will have put a few customers off and on for a couple minutes. I've rebooted it and it seems to be behaving now. I'll keep an eye on it to make sure it stays up. I need to go to Rona soon to look at a few things over there. I'll do that when I can.

That's the outage over now. Back up 1304. That's also our new AppleNet mast build completed!

AppleNet will be down for a few minutes at around 1pm today while we do some planned upgrades to the Glas Bheinn Mast. Just a few mins, shouldn't be long.

Back on site now, Lumi is well rested at least! I had to rush home at 5am to grab some sleep and get the car back to my better half for 7am (borrowing a friend's car now). That's the new link up. I was only 2mins work away from getting it back online before, which is a bit annoying, but I had to go before. I'll get this new link working better by aligning it better now I'm back.

Morning folks. The network went down (past Toscaig) at 11pm last night, and I tried my best through last night to get the fix in place, but fell a bit short and came back for some kip. Just reassessing now. We'll get the service back up ASAP.

There is a problem with a radio link on AppleNet which is causing the network to go slow, excluding Toscaig. We're working on the issue now, but the service will be off and on while we look into it.

We've been seeing more issues on the connection upstream of AppleNet recently, which are weather related. The network immediately upstream have a radio link which drops and gives us go-slows in heavy rain. No issues on AppleNet, and we've reported the issue to HUBS CIC and understand they are working on it.

OK, so there is another problem in Diabaig now! The house at the road end to Diabaig has gone offline, and is a relay for a few other houses there. Unfortunately I'm now in Tarskavaig, bur I'll head back the way I've just come! There is a lovely tapestry in the community hall, pictured, which I'm parked outside at the moment. A good resource for anyone trying to figure out the sometimes hard-to-work-out house numbering system for folk like me who need to find their way around...
