Most of the time spent on a light isn’t the big stuff…

It’s going back over an edge I’ve already sanded because it didn’t feel quite right and sorting through the timber to find a piece with the right grain for each section.

🎄 The Artisan Show is coming back to Staunton Harold this November 🎄

If you caught me at the summer show back in August, you'll remember I had a stand at the show. This time it's a little different- rather than having a stand, my shop in the Ferrers Centre courtyard will be open, just a short walk away.

So while you're here for the show, come have a mooch around the courtyard, grab a coffee, and say hello. 👋

It's a perfect chance to browse the shop for handmade lighting and gifts, and sort some Christmas presents along the way.🎁

Handmade from start to finish- our oak ceiling light shades💡

Over 40 different pieces of timber are lovingly handcrafted into each shade- turn your volume up for the satisfying sounds of it taking shape (minus a couple of quite major stages- we can't give away all our secrets!😋)

A practical piece, made to look right at home🌟

This awkward space on the wall initially left an electricity meter and fuse board exposed in this house. The solution? Conceal with a drinks cabinet!
While it looks fitted, this piece was made all the more complex because easy-access is still needed to the meter behind it at times. The cabinet has been constructed with this in mind, and is easy for the client to remove & replace when needed.
