Customer complained the brakes didn't seem right after having shoes fitted by a previous workshop.
To be fair, this seemed like a product failure rather than a fitting fault.
Never seen a return spring broken like this.

For the next few days (and especially if your fridge vents into your awning) increase the cooling the cooling to your fridge by removing the vents.
This allows more air flow for the exchange to keep cool and keep your fridge efficient.
