Before you commit to a new kitchen, ask yourself these 10 questions first. At Kutchenhaus Bristol, Bath and Frome, these are the ones that separate a smooth renovation from a stressful one.

1. What’s your budget?
Know your number before you fall for a design you can’t afford.

2. How do you use the space?
Cooking solo, feeding a family, or hosting — it changes the whole layout.

3. What storage do you actually need?
List what you own before deciding what has to fit.

4. Can you move utilities?
Shifting a sink or hob means moving pipework and wiring — know if your space allows it.

5. What’s your kitchen triangle?
Fridge, sink and hob should sit a few steps from each other, not a hike apart.

6. Are you open to structural work?
Knocking through or moving a wall opens up options, but adds time and cost.

7. What finish suits your home?
Your kitchen should feel part of the house, not bolted onto it.

8. What’s your realistic timeline?
Know how long you can live without a full kitchen before you start.

9. Who’s managing the project?
Decide upfront whether you’re coordinating trades yourself or want it handled for you.

10. What’s your total budget, not just the kitchen?
Appliances, worktops, delivery and aftercare all add up beyond the units themselves.

The right questions cost nothing. The wrong kitchen costs a lot.

Kayleigh grew up in Frome. She still lives here.

So watching that empty shop sit derelict for years, turn into our beautiful Frome showroom, hits a bit differently for her 💜
