DEBRA Men's Group is a friendly, informal and supportive online space for men aged 18+ who are living with EB, or who are affected by EB as a parent, partner, family member or carer.

🕯️ Join fellow DEBRA members at Light The Night For Darcie

We have been kindly offered 10 places for DEBRA members to attend Light the Night for Darcie, a special black-tie evening hosted by Elliana’s Army, taking place in Ipswich on Friday 6 November.

Many of you in the DEBRA community will know or remember Darcie, who lived with junctional severe EB. Darcie sadly passed away in August, but her courage, spirit and the impact she had on those around her continue to be felt by so many. 🦋

Held in Darcie's memory, this special evening will celebrate her life, raise awareness of EB, and bring together family, friends and supporters to honour her legacy. It is also an opportunity for members of the EB community to come together, remember Darcie, and support one another.

Going the extra mile 💙

For years, NWVA Group has been a valued partner of DEBRA UK, helping to raise vital funds and awareness for people living with epidermolysis bullosa (EB).

Most recently, they supported Graeme Souness CBE's fundraising challenge as principal sponsor, providing practical support every step of the way.

We're especially grateful to Stephan Surmont and Mercedes Gatón, whose personal commitment to the challenge helped shine a light on the realities of living with EB and the need for effective treatments.

Thanks to fundraising events, sponsorship and awareness raising activities, NWVA-supported initiatives have now raised more than £93,000 for DEBRA UK.

We're delighted to see The Slightest Touch, the powerful documentary sharing Emma Fogarty's life with epidermolysis bullosa (EB), will be featured on BBC One's The Graham Norton Show tonight!

Following its premiere at the BFI London Film Festival this week, Colin Farrell will appear on BBC One's The Graham Norton Show on Friday 16 October at 10.40pm, helping shine a spotlight on Emma's remarkable story and the realities of living with EB. 🦋

The film offers an honest and inspiring insight into Emma's journey, her lifelong friendship with Colin, and the incredible milestone of reaching her 40th birthday, something she was once told she may never achieve.

A huge congratulations to Emma, Colin and everyone involved in bringing this important story to a wider audience. We'd also like to give a special shoutout to our friends at Debra Ireland - The Butterfly Skin Charity, whose support for the EB community has helped make stories like Emma's visible and heard. 🧡 🧡

We hope this national spotlight will increase understanding of EB, raise awareness of the challenges faced by those living with the condition, and inspire greater support for research and treatments.
