A little bit of paint, a lot of natural character.

This single wardrobe has had a fresh new look, combining a deep, earthy grey frame with the warmth of its original timber door and drawer fronts.

I love how the natural wood grain adds texture and warmth, while the darker frame gives it a more contemporary feel. Sometimes, leaving parts of a piece untouched is just as important as deciding what to paint.

With a full-height hanging space and useful drawers below, it would work beautifully as a hallway coat cupboard, but it could just as easily find a home in a bedroom or guest room.

A practical piece of furniture with plenty of character, ready for its next home.

Some furniture is born. Some furniture is made. And some furniture is Frankie. 😂

Meet my latest one-of-a-kind creation, Frankie.

She's a little bit of a Frankenstein project, because her beautiful pigeonhole top and desk base actually started life as two completely separate pieces of furniture.

I rescued the top from another piece I'd kept, then called in my very talented carpenter friend to work his magic and bring the two together. Once they were properly married up, I finished the whole piece in Dixie Belle's Dried Sage.

The colour is a gorgeous muted stone neutral with subtle grey-green undertones, and the scalloped detailing, turned legs and ornate drawer handles give her so much character.

She's practical, she's a little bit quirky, and she's certainly not like every other desk out there.

One of a kind, naturally. There won't be another quite like her.

🍷 A little rustic character, a whole lot of personality… 🌿

This one has had quite the transformation!

A tired, well-loved w**e rack has been given a new lease of life with layered shades of green, beautiful aged details and hints of deep oxblood showing through the distressed finish.

I’ve used Dixie Belle Cactus over Apothecary, with Sea Spray texture for added character, then finished with Clear and Brown Best Dang Wax to give it that lovely, softly aged look. The original decorative handles have stayed, because sometimes the original details are just too good to lose!

But this piece isn't just for w**e lovers…

A piece of furniture with a story, given a new lease of life and made personal to its owners.

This beautiful blanket chest was a recent commission, finished in a soft, elegant grey with delicate blue florals using the Blue Nest Blooms Middy Transfer by Redesign with Prima, alongside the Alpha Clear Cling Stamp. The personalised J&R detail makes it that little bit more special.

I love creating pieces like this, where we can take existing furniture and turn it into something completely individual, designed around your home and your taste. Forgotten Chair #005

Meet number five in my Forgotten Chair collection.

This beautiful vintage bamboo armchair has been sitting quietly waiting to be noticed, and I couldn't resist giving it a little moment in the spotlight.

I love the fan-shaped back, curved bamboo arms and intricate cane detailing. The natural honey tones and signs of age have been left just as they are because this chair doesn't need reinventing. Its character is the whole point.

I can imagine it tucked into an English conservatory or garden room, with a comfy cushion, a cup of tea and somewhere to put your book.

This one started with a message on Etsy…

A lovely customer had fallen in love with another set of drawers I had listed, featuring this beautiful Etoile Studio decoupage by Redesign with Prima. The only problem? They weren’t quite the right size for her space.

So rather than her having to compromise, I set about finding a chest that would work for her room and created this piece especially for her.

And here she is.

A vintage chest transformed with the beautiful Etoile Studio Decoupage by Redesign with Prima, finished in deep black with Woodubend moulding (WUB1364.48) added to the bottom drawer.

I absolutely love how the soft, romantic artwork contrasts with the darker body of the chest. It feels dramatic, elegant and completely one of a kind.

And this is also a little reminder that I don’t just sell the furniture you see in my shop.

I can work with your own furniture, create custom pieces, or even source a piece for you if you have an idea but don’t have the right furniture to start with.
