On Saturday I had the pleasure of helping out a wee bit at this event. Such a great atmosphere. The repair movement is so important in preventing items being needlessly sent to landfill but these events feel like so much more than that.

There is genuine connection going on as people gather.

The repairers are passionate about their skills and feel a real sense of purpose by mending things.

People are educated by being involved in their repair and see how the problem was solved.

Money is saved by not having to think about buying a new replacement.

Plus homemade chicken soup!

Buying trip about to come to an end - one more car boot to go! Van and estate car full 👍 but I’m sure I can squeeze a few more small items in.

Here’s the official dates for October but I’ll be spending time in my workshop upholstering some long awaited projects, so the sign will be out 😃
