These stunning brooches by Michele White have glints of autumnal colour in the gemstones, precious metals and treatment of the surfaces.
The first image is of a brooch called 'Boy Hiding Behind a Tree'. It is handcrafted in sterling silver with fine 18ct gold details. At its centre lies a beautifully patterned jasper, its natural layers evoking an autumnal landscape where a lone tree rises from the ground. Look closely, and you’ll discover the subtle figure of a boy concealed behind the trunk, a playful detail that transforms the stone into a miniature countryside scene.
The second image is of 'Japanese Sunrise' brooch. This is handcrafted in silver with fine 18ct gold detailing and set with a richly coloured landscape agate. The stone glows with burnt orange and deep shadowed layers, suggesting the rising sun above distant mountains. Delicate gold forms resembling trees and foliage extend from the agate into the textured silver frame, enhancing the impression of a serene Japanese sunrise captured in miniature.
The third image is of a brooch titled 'Riding Across the Plain at Night'. This is handcrafted in silver with 18ct gold detail and set with a sandblasted landscape agate. The brooch depicts an evening scene with the clouds and the moon to the top.
