Mid-Century extendable dining table top (Jindrich Halabala for Up Zavody) stripped and refinished in a walnut stain, finished with three coats of semi matt AC laquer that was then cut back and flattened off before being polished up.

Here is the finished pictures of the chest on chest from start to finish.
The chest had sentimental value to the customer, so it was stripped down, sanded, stained in light oak so as to keep it as light as possible and repolished with 3 coats of semi matt AC Lacquer.

Today was a stripping day, to bring a little more life into this sun damaged piece that has sentimental value to my customer.

This piece has been completely and lovingly brought back to life in our workshop. It was meticulously stripped down to the raw wood to remove decades of old wax, surface scratches, and wear. To enhance the striking natural grain patterns of the timber, it was re-finished with a rich, authentic walnut stain. For maximum longevity, the wood was then sealed using a premium Acid Catalysed (AC) Lacquer. Unlike traditional waxes or polishes, this professional-grade finish provides an incredibly durable, heat-resistant, and moisture-resistant shield while beautifully preserving the wood's deep luster.
