Halma commissioned GDP to audit their D&I progress and to design and deliver Open Minds D&I Awareness training for executives and senior leaders.
From our training, Halma prompted D&I accountability to be promoted at all levels and developed strategies to implement policies surrounding multi-generations, gender, unconscious bias and more.

Today's , we continue from last week's topic about unconscious bias and focus on the training needed to surpass it, and share the thought-provoking questions asked in a typical session so that you can see past your blind spots.
The bias itself is a natural response and will remain unless an individual makes a conscious effort to change their perceptions and spread awareness.
Our training sessions at GPD will enable you to realise what unconscious bias is, how we can recognise it in ourselves, and its impact on individual and group attitudes, behaviours, and decision-making.
The point is not to blame people for their biases but to help employees at every level see beyond their biases so that they behave equally.
During our sessions, we will ask critical questions like:
👤 Could we be inadvertently missing out on attracting the best talent?
👤 Do we have individual and corporate blind spots that show that we are missing out on potential?
👤 Are we hiring in our image and encouraging groupthink?
More questions will be asked in the sessions, alongside tips and techniques to manage bias and promote inclusive leadership.

Today's , we want to discuss what unconscious bias is and spread awareness of the implications businesses may face if left untreated.
Unconscious Bias occurs when a person’s brain makes a judgment or assumption about someone or something without realising it.
Most of us believe that we are unbiased, and we think that we always make accurate decisions that benefit all and remain ethical in our actions.
However, even the most open-minded person has unconscious bias and is affected by social factors such as upbringing, background and personal experiences.
Unconscious bias has an essential place in HR protocols for businesses. In order to offer jobs to a diverse mix of people, based not on their race or gender but solely on their skills and experience, unconscious bias training needs to be in place.
Unconscious bias is one of several training tactics used at GDP to create a diverse and inclusive working environment.
