Well little Lillie took her nanny made dress home, with a smile

Not bad little project to use up some of my beautiful fabrics, she still wants the pj’s but I’ll have to choose another design

In other news … the 6 balls of extra yarn have been opened, I have 1/2 ball left to do some finishing touches on my blanket
So far the main construction has used up 7 1/2 balls totalling 2250g

I’ll get a nice pic once it’s finished …..
Need to also finish my little cushion

November will be focusing on Christmas gifts, decorations & baking some gingerbread men / ladies / reindeer/ christmas trees 🎄

The day job 💕
OH yes Miss Lillie had her choice of nanny’s fabric stash & chose the beautiful pink butterfly print 🦋

The plan was to make some pj’s & knickers, but with the anount of fabric left we managed to achieve a cute little dress ‼️

Nanny did all the work …. Whilst the boss just gave the orders 🤣

Best get on & hem the sleeves & bottom so she can have her “ RED CARPET “ moment

Dark evenings are for crochet work & chilling watching the tv …..

The blanket is coming along nicely, I’m working through my haul of yarns 🧶
Hands are coping, but it’s pretty awkward to manage!!

Will have a warm cozy blanket before the week is over at this rate 😃

Today’s job is sewing with little Lillie, who knows what she’ll have me creating for her, pics to follow ….. 😂

My other project, this is the slightly bigger one ‼️
I wanted a blanket that was a little chunky & a shade of green….. obviously I couldn’t find one I liked in the shops so went yarn hunting instead lol
Why buy when you can create

I drastically underestimated the amount required & purchased only 2 balls, this did nothing & was used up in no time 😂

We headed back to the shops so I could grab some more……
There were only 6 balls left each at 300g, I cleared the shelf & have been busy with the crochet hook in hand.
Might take a while to finish this even though the yarn goes quicker, the blanket is a square with yet more continuous granny stitches, very awkward to hold & is hard work on my hands & wrists

Loving how this is going …..
To be honest I was just putting it together to make a back piece for my granny square cushion front !!!!
Thinking I should now make this the main cushion front as I feel it has more design, texture & it’s just cool

The plain granny squares are just that …. Plain & simple ( nothing special )
Would be great for the back piece 😃

As for the cushion I was just going to use 1 of those cheap pads but I do actually have enough materials & linings to create my own so watch this space …. I’ll get creative

Hello … well not much sewing has got achieved over the summer as I was too busy working in the garden & tbh took some time out
But the seasons are changing & i’ve picked up some stitches ….. oh yes the hook & yarns are back out
I am currently working on 2 wip’s, I have a cushion & a chunky blanket
I love this type of project as I can sit on the sofa, watch some tv & get going

This pic is 1 side of my cushion, a continuous granny square stitch, it will be finished soon then i’ll be putting it all together

Good evening 😃
I’ve had a busy few weeks ….
In the sewing room I have managed to take up one of my dresses, won’t be dragging along the ground now ( Should have got it in petite ) 😂

Lots if work in the garden 🪏
Fences being painted, pond surrounds work in progress, wildflower seeds sown along with cornflowers, dwarf sunflowers, red creeping thyme ready to plant, new bare root peony is potted, the clematis’s are flowering, the acers are in full leaf
Lots of work still to do, continue with the painting, plant up around the pond ….. but this year I’m hopeful for lots of blooms 🌸

Sewing jobs to do - take up some trousers & to make up my denim dress 🪡
