Hi again,

We are always busy so it’s a challenge to keep up with posts these days.

Here is a job we completed for a returning client in Rawtenstall. They had moved recently and wanted us to decorate the kitchen after a refit and to decorate a guest bedroom.

We employed the usual processes of sanding, filling, caulking before any paint was applied UK the surfaces.

The clients just wanted plain white. So we used Crown Clean Extreme Brilliant White Durable Matt in both spaces.

The guest bedroom had a dark varnished wooden sill, which we stain blocked, primed, undercoated and top coated in satin.

Both spaces look really fresh and sharp looking now 😃👍

Hi everyone,

Here’s a wallpapering job we were asked to to complete for clients in Padiham.

We had to go done filling/repair work to the plastering first, before we hung the wallpaper on all four walls. We also freshened up the woodwork, by giving it a light sand, caulking it using HB42 Professional Caulk and a topcoat of Crown Fastflow Brilliant White Satinwood paint.

We will be returning at a later date to carry out work on the hall, stairs and landing. 😃👍

Good evening everyone,

Here’s a project we completed for a returning client in Wilpshire. We have been working at this property on and off, over a long period of time. Mainly mist coating and installing coving etc.

However, we have now reached a stage where the last few rooms needed mist coating, coving installed and decorating to a finish.

The clients briefed us regarding what they wanted and we advised in relation to colour choices.

The master bedroom, soon to be walk in wardrobe, en suite and main bathroom were mist coated first using Macphersons Covertex Brilliant White Matt Emulsion.

I then installed coving in the master bedroom and walk in wardrobe area. This was a particular challenge because I was dealing with two different ceiling heights. This involved working out a solution with the coving installation. I was really happy with the plan I came up with.

Both bathrooms were then colour saturated with Crown Clean Extreme, mixed to Farrow and Ball “Oxford Stone”. The woodwork was prepped, caulked and painted using Crown Fastflow Satinwood, mixed to Farrow and Ball “Joa’s White”.

In the master bedroom and wall in wardrobe area, the ceilings were painted using Crown Vinyl Matt, mixed to Little Greene “Slaked Lime”. The walls and woodwork were painted using Crown Clean Extreme, mixed to Little Greene “Green Stone”. We also coated the woodwork with Sadolin Polyurethane Clear Satin Varnish for durability.

The final touch, was wallpapering the feature wall with wallpaper from Graham and Brown.

Once completed, we demasked, tidied and snagged. All ready for the new flooring to be fitted.

It’s great to see this project starting to tackle the final stages of completion. 😊

Finally, finally, finally got round to getting my van wrapped. I’ve had the vehicle nearly 12 months and it’s taken this long to find the time to design what I wanted. I’m really happy with it and it encompasses the professional thriving business we are. It pays to not rush these things and have a clear vision of what you want to achieve.

Hi everyone.

We really enjoyed this next project that we carried out in Fence. The clients asked us to redecorate their two reception rooms and hall, stairs and landing. There was done repair work to do, along with installing some wooden bracing on a window sill, as well as guy new cupboard door k***s. All part of those finishing touches that help to transform a space.

We spent quite a bit of time filling and sanding walls, along with the usual woodwork preparation. All the woodwork wax given two coats of Crown Fastflow Undercoat and Crown Fastflow Brilliant White Satinwood.

Ceilings were given two coats of Macphersons Eclipse Brilliant White Matt Emulsion.

It was really enjoyable hanging the wallpaper o the feature walls to complete the transformation.

The clients were very happy, leaning a wonderful Google review. We are also returning soon to complete the kitchen redecoration too. 😊👍

Happy Bank Holiday everyone,

I’ve not managed to find the time to post our projects recently, as we’ve had a lot on. Here’s a kitchen we completed in Burnley last month. 😃

Keeping on top of your wooden framed windows is vital for the longevity of the timber. We were asked to sort out these three windows for regular client, who rents out a number of properties. The beading around the glazing needed done attention. The frames were sanded extensively, the beading was filled and sealed with window sealant, two coats of Crown Fastflow Brilliant White Primer and Undercoat and finally two coats of Sandtex Xtra Oil Based Brilliant White Eggshell. Due to us ensuring the beading was sealed to the glazing, this prevents any future water ingress damaging the timber. It’s as much about applying the correct methods and processes, as it is the finish and aesthetics.

Along with the glamour of providing high end decorating, we also deal with problems left/created by other trades. This bathroom was fitted by a plumber who offered to paint it also. He clearly didn’t know what he was doing, painting straight onto bare plaster. This resulted in the whole ceiling’s worth of paint peeling off in sheets. Once we had removed all of the old paint, we sealed the plaster using Zinsser Gardz, feathered out any stubborn bits of paint using Toupret Filler, sanded these areas and sealed them again. We then applied three coats of Zinsser Permawhite Mould Resistant Brilliant White Mat Paint. We sometimes wish other trades just stick to what they know, as this plumber generated a completely unnecessary expense due to his lack of knowledge. Anyway, we are great believers in there’s a solution to every problem. .
