Mr Cracknell, back by popular demand, giving us a very quick run down on his favourite power tool, the Lamello jointer.
We use the tenso fixings the most, which work in a similar way to a buckle. We use these in almost every job to some extent as they are such a simple and effective way of attaching components that need to be removable such as wall scribes or even our Oak Cills that we install under butler sinks.

What a whirlwind couple of months it has been!
A quiet start to the year for many of us in this industry but the sunshine has turned everything on its head for us, in a good way.
The workshop team have been busy manufacturing and installing kitchens, offices, media walls, playrooms and everything else in between for the past couple of months and in design we’ve been looking ahead to our summer and autumn kitchens projects, which we cannot wait to get stuck into.
We also started our design studio, which immediately ground to a halt as Josh’s daughter decided to arrive 2 weeks earlier than planned! Will we ever finish the studio!? 😂
Forever grateful to every single client, friend or distant online admirer that continues to support us and keep us busy doing what we love.
Very soon we will be able to flood your feed with beautiful finished shots, but for now some BTS shots will have to do.

It won’t be long before we can show you all the finished joinery throughout this house, but for now, Kieran’s infectious enthusiasm will have to do!
It’s not just timber products that we work with. Here’s a quick run down on our brass finishing process by one of Suffolks finest.

A small insight to one of the recent investments at Lark Valley.
We’ve been fortunate enough to grow year on year since we started in 2021 and the addition of a CNC router was always inevitable. Once we got the green light for our spray shop extension there was only one thing we were putting in the old spray shop.
A steep learning curve for a company who have generally done things with more traditional methods, but won’t we can’t believe we didn’t do sooner.
Not only has our efficiency increased exponentially but accuracy has improved, it has opened up entirely new areas of business and most importantly, nobody has to be on a panel saw for two days straight only to still have to manually measure and drill all the holes!
Thanks for helping us through this process.
We are hoping to start posting much more how-it’s-made content this year, so keep an eye out.
Crafted & delivered with care, from the heart of the Suffolk Countryside.
The not so glamorous and very much forgotten art of a business like ours is the packaging and delivery of each and every project. It would be a disservice to pour so much into a project to not extend that care and attention into the delivery and beyond. Each kitchen takes between 12-17 hours to package, plus the time it takes to reach its destination & unload.
Yes, we could do this much cheaper by sending them with a delivery company, but in our experience, cheaper doesn’t equate to better value.
The second and final shipment of this project is now on its way over the English Channel to beautiful Guernsey.
This project will be drawing to a close over the next week or two and whilst shipping cabinetry has been a learning curve, it has been a very welcome one. Certainly something we would do again in a heartbeat, for the right project of course.
We will be flying over once all trades are finished to get plenty of content of the finished project and share those in due course. To summarise, we were fortunate enough to be trusted with the kitchen, utility, study, dressing room, media wall and 4 bespoke vanity units.
With the clients being from Suffolk originally, we had the benefit of instant rapport and understanding of their vision which has helped enormously to keep things on schedule throughout. Not to mention having our friends at Elliot Thomas Construction over there installing everything for us, so we can close the doors on the container and put our feet up……!
A beautiful project for wonderful clients.
Roll on the next one.
We are forever grateful to have the opportunity to work on such beautiful homes around the English countryside. Not to mention the people we get to meet along the way.
