Grow My Wellbeing
Terrarium team building workshops, commercial plant designs & installs and houseplant shop. Transforming spaces with nature and greenery 🌱
10/06/2026
Last night, I had the pleasure of sharing my journey, more about my business and how to create a terrarium with a group of 40 lovely ladies.
In the midst of running a business and looking after my family, I often forget about my journey but if you’re new here or don’t know how my business started, let me share…
🌱 I grew up in South Africa, surrounded by plants and nature.
🌱 I finished high school and travelled and lived in America for 13 months.
🌱 As my American stay came to an end, I came to the UK to visit my dear friend, thinking I’d be here for 6 months.
🌱 23 years later….I’m still in the UK.
🌱 After realising that the UK would be my new home, I decided to go to Uni and obtained a degree in HR and coaching.
🌱 Went for an interview at and worked for this wonderful company for 10 years.
🌱 Covid hit and it became an uncertain time for us all.
🌱 I started watering, propagating, wiping leaves and found my plants my mindful way to switch off after days of homeschooling.
🌱 I wanted others to experience the mindfulness that planting can bring so I created Wellbeing Plant Bundles (check them out on my website).
🌱 From there, I started running workshops and installed office plants to inject nature and greenery for wellbeing!
I love my job and feel grateful for everyone’s support.
If you’d like a talk, terrarium demonstration or even a workshop for your group, please get in touch.

On Saturday afternoon, we went terrarium making at 🌱
When clients book or when they arrive at the workshop, I always hear how busy and often stressful life is.
Everyone always has something going on - whether it’s work, family life or general day to day…life can be full on, we all have worries and sometimes we need to switch off and enjoy a mindful hour or two to be ready to tackle the next part.
This is exactly what these workshops are for. To connect to nature, connect with each other, to enjoy a mindful couple of hours and to create something beautiful to take home.
If you’re looking for a get together or even a team building event, please get in touch.

Oh I miss these plants being all around me in SA.
I took it for granted when I grew up in SA, I was spoiled for choice with so many beautiful plants in my garden and surrounding spaces.
The UK winters are just too cold to have any of these plants outdoors.
However, I feel lucky to have a space indoors to bring nature in and enjoy a green space around me.
Which ones are you growing indoors?

Looking for low maintenance plants ideas? Have a look around next time you’re at an airport to see what plants they have dotted around.
I would say though, the last two are questionable as I have unintentionally killed a Ficus Lyrata and Peace Lilly plants can sometimes be a little dramatic
Being in an airport, these plants will receive little attention so if you’re looking for something low maintenance for your space, one or two of these could be an option.
Which ones do you already have in your collection?

I’ve been a client for the last 4 years so I was delighted to be asked to run a mindful terrarium team building workshop for a few of their teams!
One of the teams unfortunately couldn’t join due to a last minute team meeting, however we made sure that no one missed out as they received DIY terrarium kits to enjoy making terrariums in their own time.
How beautiful do these terrariums look?!

Had the pleasure of working with to refresh the outdoor planters at in Bury.
Both of these lovely businesses are sustainable and eco friendly so they were the perfect match for this fun project.

When I grew up in South Africa, I had succulents, cacti, Euphorbia, Bird of Paradise, Sansevieria and many more plants in my garden and surrounding spaces.
I never had to worry about out the right light, fertiliser or pest checking as nature did that for me.
A little confession…when I first started my houseplant collection in the UK, I never really bought into grow lights, fertilisers or pest preventions as I was so used to nature caring for itself.
However, I soon realised that indoor plants need certain elements to thrive, especially indoors. I’ve learnt this the hard way after loosing a few plants over the years.
I’m sharing my favourite houseplant care items that really work for me:
🌱 which I’ve been using for years. I fertilise whenever my plants are actively growing, giving them much needed nutrients they would normally get in nature outdoors.
🌱 predatory mites for thrips. These mites crawl out of the sachet and feed off the thrips on your plants, keeping your plants pest free and healthy (I have a 5% discount code, comment ‘Pest’ and I’ll send it over).
🌱 yellow sticky tapes to catch the adult fungus gnats flying around plants.
🌱 horticultural soap to keep plants clean and pest free (I have a 5% discount code, comment ‘Pest’ and I’ll send it over).
🌱 Rubbing alcohol for mealybugs.
🌱 nematodes for fungus gnat larvae that live in soil (I use this with yellow sticky tapes so both adults and larvae are stopped).
🌱 .store grow lights which mimic the natural sun and allow plants to grow in even dark corners (I have a 10% discount code, comment ‘Light’ below and I’ll send the link over).
My plants are thriving with a little help from these very clever, helpful houseplant items.
Make sure to save this for when you need pest treatment, lights or a fertiliser for your plants!
