Make and Mend Workshop

Summer holidays are almost over and we have new upholstery & Upcycling workshops starting in September!
Wednesday evenings 5:30-8pm evening workshops
Thursday mornings 10-12:30 - volunteer workshops
Thursday afternoons 1-3pm - wellbeing workshops
Friday morning workshops 10-12:30
We’ll also look at putting on day long workshops on Saturdays about once a month so watch this space!

Everyone making great progress on their projects this week, Laura & Cerith are close to finishing their armchairs and Elaine’s sofa isn’t far behind! Well done everyone, they look fab ❤️ 🪑 🔨

Everyone was busy continuing their chair projects last week and becky did a great job, adding upholstery to her pink chair which looked fab! Well done everyone x 🪑 🔨

Progress on chairs in last couple of weeks - Parker knowle armchair is looking great, as is the kids armchair. I’ve been sanding down the mid century chair when I get a chance too

Progress from the last few weeks, everyone is doing fantastic on their projects, whether a Parker knoll armchair, Victorian nursing chair, or modern child’s chair or a stool, well done everyone, they look amazing!

This ‘Pay as you Feel’ workshop is affordable and inclusive to all in the community, especially for anyone struggling with the cost of living crisis. It is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. Booking is essential on www.makemendworkshop.co.uk

Workshops from the last couple of weeks. Lots of different projects from Sewing cushions, deep buttoning armchairs, stools and midcentury chairs. Everyone’s been working really hard and it’s really paid off. They’ve done an amazing job. It’s always good to see lots of happy faces and beautifully finished chairs. 🪑 ❤️
