This was a wonderful heirloom project that I did for a family, celebrating the life of their late father who was in the merchant navy.
I converted his beloved battered suitcase to be the frame, and cut out his handwritten initials from the lid and stitched the edging from the lid around it.
I cleaned and restored the epaulettes and cap and mounted his old driving license and merchant navy book so that they could be taken out and read.
He had bought the tambourine on his travels.
They were very pleased 😊

My lovely client wanted a cottage style loose cover made for her footstool. I made a skirt in this pretty print, which totally transformed it!

My lovely client found these antique chairs and wanted me to cover them with this beautiful William Morris fabric. I had to first build up the seats and treat the wood. I chose Liberon Golden Pine wax to feed the wood and bring out its natural aged finish.

This was a crafty one for me. I’ve had this sweet wishbone chair for a year. I picked it up as a freebie that someone was throwing out as the seat was damaged. Finally got around to weaving the seat out of a length of denim salvaged from old jeans. I’ve got plenty left if anyone would like similar. It was for my dad who declared it ā€˜very comfortable nipper’. 😊

This was an intricate job needing another collaboration with expert Tim! The brief was to create cushions for this angular garden room… unfortunately the builders hadn’t considered the upholsterer 🤣
Look at all these intricate angles, Tim cut board to the shapes… which took quite a while in itself! Then I created mounted cushions, with contrast piping to emulate a design that the client had seen.
It would have been impossible to make seat cushions with any other method to follow the many shapes, but it turned out very well.
The clients were so pleased šŸ‘šŸ¼

Bespoke kitchen seating in a luxurious jade velvet, with regular soft look contemporary square buttoning. A collaboration with Tim from Rudduck and Son Upholstery, the client was very happy.

Recovered this huge seating area in a luxury London Penthouse at the exclusive Embassy Gardens in Nine Elms. This is the bar area opening onto the 360 degree views of all of London!
