The existing lath and plaster was broken, cracked and badly uneven, so rather than simply trying to skim over the problems, we put it right properly.

With the main SIPs shell up, we’re straight onto the roof:

🔨 Firrings installed to create the roof fall
🏠 Lantern upstand formed
🪚 New structure cut into the existing roof
🔗 New and existing roof structures tied together
📐 Edging timbers installed ready for the roofline

This is where careful detailing matters — getting the structure right now sets up everything that follows.

KELSALL PROJECT — PART 2 🚧

What a difference already! 👀

The overgrown hedges are cut right back, the uneven ground has been excavated and cleared, and we’re now getting the space prepared for the new fencing and next stage of the transformation.

And while clearing the site… we uncovered some amazing old sandstone. 🪨

Far too good to throw away — so we’re giving it a new purpose and incorporating it into a bespoke sandstone planter as part of the finished garden.

This is about more than clearing a garden. We’re taking dead, unused space and completely transforming it through landscaping, groundwork, fencing and ultimately a brand-new outdoor room.
