Our reply?

“Of course. Just send us a photograph and we’ll dig out the original jig we made all those years ago.”

15 years on, the original planters are still going strong. And now we’re making four more to stand proudly alongside them. A testament to quality that’s made to last.

For over two decades, Oxford Planters has established its reputation through exceptional workmanship, traditional joinery and an uncompromising approach to quality.

Trusted by private clients, the National Trust and Historic Royal Palaces, every piece is made to order in our Cotswolds workshop.

Our planters are engineered to withstand the considerable weight and pressure of direct planting, without relying on secondary structural liners for support. Their strength lies in the joinery itself.

We are proud to introduce our 15 Year Structural Guarantee, covering our entire range of exterior joinery, from planters and garden furniture to gates and individual bespoke commissions.

A guarantee specifically for external use, recognising the demands of year-round exposure to the British weather and the elements.

Applicable to all orders placed from 6 October 2026, subject to our guarantee terms.

Our standards haven’t changed. Our guarantee now reflects them.

There is considerably more to an Oxford Planter than the detail you see from the outside.

Each is designed as a substantial piece of architectural joinery, engineered specifically for the considerable forces created by soil, water and established planting.

An Oxford Planter is designed to be planted directly into, without relying upon a secondary container or liner to contain those forces.

Behind every piece lies over two decades of specialist knowledge, traditional joinery and engineering developed specifically for substantial outdoor planting.
