Let’s Set the Record Straight!

We’d like to address some recent confusion surrounding our business following an enquiry from a reporter at the Lancashire Evening Post regarding a planning application for the demolition of part of a building on the ASC site.

At the time, we chose not to comment, as there was nothing further to share.
We are continuing to develop and adapt our business, making changes that we hope will enhance our customers’ experience while helping to safeguard the future of our workforce.

First and foremost, we are not a “former home improvement store”, nor are we closing down!

We remain very much open for business and will continue to offer the products and services our customers have always known and loved, simply from a smaller footprint.

Unfortunately, the recent newspaper article has caused confusion and sparked rumours that we are shutting our doors for good. We want to reassure everyone that this is absolutely not the case. Like many small businesses, we are navigating an increasingly challenging trading environment and are looking at ways to diversify, adapt and secure our future.
We are disappointed that the article has created such uncertainty, particularly when local businesses need support and responsible, accurate reporting more than ever.
When we are in a position to share further information, we will do so.

In the meantime, we want to thank our wonderful customers for their continued loyalty, support and understanding. It genuinely means so much to us.
We are a family-run business that has been part of the Chorley community for over 70 years, and we fully intend to remain part of it for many years to come!
