At the shop, the shop first picture now, second picture fifty four years ago for a t shirt shoot. Hi and welcome warmly to all my new followers ! My Mum and I are wearing the one off up cycled silk Nelly tops new online and in our store in Colchester too. The shop has been in my family for all of my life and my Mums Pam Schomberg too. Bought by my Grandparents and once our mens tailor shop. I was trained as a small child in everything to do with trade, production, marketing and sales and feel lucky to have always had my own little business my whole life. Somehow still surviving without too many changes, I do wholesale, retail, website and supply a few shops in Goa too so am always busy. All of our clothing is handmade in small quantities and lots of love and passion goes in to the design and production. Thanks for the support all of you Love Jess

Meet Sophie Williamson my beautiful little niece. Here she is visiting yesterday and trying on our Revival top and Molly skorts with our mini printed pink bag looking so gorgeous. Needless to say she had it all. Her Mum, she and I spent a lovely Sunday drinking ch*****ne, eating lunch and walking in the park a perfect day. In a world full of mass production, being unique and wearing unique clothing is becoming rarer and rarer. Having the courage to look or be different from the crowd. Every year I along with my incredible tailor in Goa, make a bespoke collection of one off clothing. We walk the talk and it is all totally sustainable, slow fashion. Here I am modelling some of the new pieces just online and in store with my Mum Pam Schomberg. At very short notice she came and did a shoot with me and of course hubbie jumped in to do it Steve Bracken 😊 These beautiful pieces are made from vintage silk and take around six months to complete. Every day we are adding more styles on to our website jeslifestyle or the shop in Colchester is open so come in and have a look and try.

The JeS shop is open every Thursday-Saturday. High Summer resort and holiday clothes hand made using upcycled or recycled cloth. Worn here our iconic Erica dress made from a single silk saree. Our new Loved Up shorts set is hand embroidered on the back with lips 💋 and words. We made very few sets of these as each one is a one off and made from vintage silk. A small collection is available at the beautiful store .goa. Each one of our vintage silk pieces takes time and love to make. They are made very slowly and individually, this collection is what I love to make. It’s sustainable, totally unique and nobody else will ever have the same piece as you. Rather than churning out pieces, I prefer to produce like this, ethically , thoughtfully and using reclaimed material to make a new creation. Using vintage saris since 1995 the passion is still in me. ❤️
