Ashdown Spider Lift Hire

16/10/2026

Gutter cleaning survey at Hogwarts today after the sky stopped leaking. I've done this one a few years ago so it's to be asked back.

Listed and heritage buildings are a particular favourite of mine to work on and I'd like to add many more to the portfolio.

Our Spider Lift and gutter vac combo is perfect for getting to otherwise impossible to reach areas on buildings like this.

Gutters on places like this are often ignored or cleaned very badly from the ground, we get up there, photograph the evidence and do a proper job.

There must be loads of estate / property managers out there in Sussex that don't know they need our services yet!

Had a great day with Beech Green Trees today in Hartfield. Had to 2 pine trees to remove, this one had a massive split and was hung up in other trees. Bit buttock clenching at times but turned out fairly undramatic which is what you want really!

Spiderlifts are great but it's nice to finish early some days and do something else fun. Also the "work camera" is great for this!

💥Exciting Stork News💥

One of these guys is ' John the Stork ' named after yours truly From the 2025 ringing season. He has just been spotted near the France / Spain border in a massive group of 80 birds.

Glad to know he's doing some great Storking and living his best life.

Does anyone have any 5.5m heavy duty loading ramps for hire. I need to get the MEWP down these steps. As close to Crowborough as possible. Unfortunately my usual supplier can't help...

Work smarter, not harder (and always safer!). 🛠️

Team work with T.C.Woodgate Tree surgery today, using the Teupen 21GT Spiderlift to safely take down two massive, decaying ash trees.

Climbing wasn't an option on these structurally compromised trees, but the Spiderlift made light work of a tricky situation.

I was worried about this one today, the job relied on my survey being correct 😬 Luckily the Teupen 21GT is blooming amazing and the set up went as planned.

Spiderlifts are amazing!

If you need operated hire of an awesome Spider MEWP then give me a shout!

Helping out at with the ! 🪺✨

How do you ring a stork chick in a hard-to-reach nest?

Enter: the Spider Lift... and an IKEA bag! 🛒🦅 (Turns out, it’s the absolute perfect size for a growing stork).

Here’s how the process works:

1️⃣ Carefully lower the chicks down in their high-fashion blue bag.
2️⃣ Measure, health-check, and fit them with a unique ID tag.
3️⃣ Return them safely to the nest—all in under 10 minutes!

Don’t worry, the parents are never far away. We always see them circling above or watching from a nearby tree, and they’re back on the nest as soon as we are on the ground. Since they use the same nests every year, they’re practically used to the annual check-up by now!

👇 Have you ever spotted a white stork in the wild? Let us know in the comments!

Threading the needle on a job this week cleaning steel work on this unique property. Some sneaky manoeuvres were required to get to all areas needed.

Having the basket end mounted on this machine is legendary, why don't more machines have it??? You can really get round the back of stuff and through narrow gaps. Hopefully by the time I want a new machine someone will have done it again... (Come on 😉)
