Tropical Tub Chair – A Classic Reupholstered

We’ve recently completed the reupholstery of this beautiful Tropical Tub Chair for one of our repeat customers.

Although it’s difficult to date the chair precisely, we estimate it dates from around the 1920s. It’s a wonderfully solid and substantial piece of furniture, complete with Shepherd casters – a lovely indication of the quality of furniture from this period.

The chair features a graceful arched back and a classic tub-chair shape. While it doesn’t have buttoning to the backrest today, it may originally have been designed with a buttoned back.

Our customer supplied the fabric, and what a choice it was! A bold, striking printed design on what appears to be a heavy cotton-blend fabric with a loose weave. It’s certainly a unique fabric that gives this classic chair a completely new character while retaining its original charm.

Another beautiful piece restored and reupholstered by our team – giving a much-loved chair a new lease of life.

Peel Chair Restoration & Reupholstery

A wonderful restoration and reupholstery project recently completed for a customer in Brighton, East Sussex.

Our customer contacted us with a pair of Peel Chairs and a matching footstool that required restoration and reupholstery.

The furniture was carefully transported from the customer’s home in Brighton to our workshop, where we carried out the restoration and reupholstery work. Once completed, the chairs and footstool were professionally packaged and prepared for their journey back to Brighton.

We regularly work on specialist and high-quality furniture for customers throughout the UK, so you don’t need to be local to our workshop to benefit from our restoration and reupholstery services.
