INDUSTRIAL DESIGN- TOUGH TERRAIN Mobility Vehicle

- Concept design focusing on the innovation of mobility scooters/ vehicles.

- The final design involved finding solutions with problems that current mobility vehicles have such as:

Getting stuck in different terrains (Sand, Snow, Mud, gravel etc.) with the current conventional 4 wheel system.

The actual wheels being too fragile and breaking when going over speed bumps, curbs or hills.

The overall design of these vehicles in particular.

- This design uses a soft rubber tracking wheel system to over come any terrain surfaces.

- It has a hydraulic lift system to allow the user to easily lower or higher seating position, making it easily to gain access in or off the seat.

- Modern design and customisable.

FURNITURE DESIGN - Student Chair

- Furniture design project with a focus on flat pack, easy to transport & plenty of storage space, ideal for students.

- Each plywood panel can be easily dismantled with an allen key.

- Ideal for students moving to different accommodations.

- Wipe down upholstery.

- Multi-purpose furniture as the chair can be rotated in order to create a table, so 2 chairs/ 2 tables or 1 or the other.

FURNITURE DESIGN - DIHEDRAL

- Furniture design project looking into innovative approaches to furniture concepts and prototypes.

- The specification for the design was a unique chaise lounge that needed to be ergonomically viable.

- The final 1:1 scale design is a 1 of a kind, modern and stylish chaise lounge designed using similar principles to how a plane wing is constructed.

- Each plywood panel and beam has been routed out and can be fitted easily into the adjacent panel or beam.

- Entire chair can be flat packed for ease of transportation.

INDUSTRIAL DESIGN - ERGOTRIM

- Project exploring the design and functionality of a 2- stoke/ 4 stroke petrol hedge trimmer.

- Design involved innovate solutions to some of the major problems with petrol hedge trimmers including:

Starting the machine (pull cord breaking).
The weight and balance of the machine.
The ergonomics or the handle in particular.
The overall design and colour scheme.
