Job Title: Sawmill Labourer (with Holiday Cover for Treatment Plant)

Location: James Kingan & Sons, Townhead Sawmill, New Abbey, Dumfries, DG2 8DU
Hours: Full-time (07.30-16.30, Monday - Friday)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role:
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Sawmill Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will work within our busy sawmill, supporting daily operations and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. In addition, you will provide holiday cover for the treatment plant when required, ensuring smooth continuity of production.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting with general sawmill operations, including handling timber and operating machinery
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Providing holiday cover for treatment plant operations (full training provided)
• Following all site safety procedures and quality standards

About You:
• Hardworking, dependable, and able to work as part of a team
• Able to follow instructions and work safely
• Physically fit and comfortable in a manual labour environment
• Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities
• Forklift experience preferred but not essential (training can be provided)

**Warehouse Assistant required**

We are looking to recruit a warehouse assistant based in our depot at Edingham Industrial Estate, Dalbeattie.

Hours of work - 7.30am-4.30pm, Monday-Friday

Duties will include sorting various packaging materials.

Forklift experience would be an advantage but not essential.
