In just a couple weeks Ash Rise will open to the public. The project aims to raise awareness of ash die back, and showcase some of the best craft and design happening in Scotland.
The exhibition will feature my interpretation on a traditional vernacular chair form found in the Sutherland and Caithness region of Scotland.
This chair will be presented alongside the work of 20 other makers and artists to show the beauty in this wonderful - and at risk - material.

Made in Scottish ash, with India ink and beeswax.

This weekend sees the opening of the first exhibition at .scotland showcasing the very best of modern Scottish craftsmanship in their own inimitable way.

Today I dropped off this four stick comb back chair to .scotland and I cannot imagine a better home for it.
A stunningly beautiful selection of Scottish craft and an honour to have a piece amongst so many amazing others.
