We would like to make a quick customer information and safety announcement it’s a kind reminder that nylock nuts are not wheel nuts and not a suitable substitute for them. This pickup was found to have been running for weeks with these in place as they are not the correct shape to key into the wheel there is a very high likelihood they will come lose and subsequently the wheel may come off not what you want when towing heavy trailers. Not to mention the threads on the studs and nuts are different and had been damaged in the process of their application which lead to a very expensive repair on this vehicle as the whole wheel bearing needed replaced as a result due to the manufacturers design. , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

So we had previously been out to this little engine to replace the injectors, but the owner had asked we leave the bleeding of the engine to him. We were then called later to replace the starter motor as it had seemed to have failed as it was in a very difficult spot to get too and would have probably involved having the engine up to get to one of its mounting bolts we decided to ensure that it really was the starter motor at fault. Thankfully it was just a blown fuse, was duly replaced and we had the engine bled and up and running in no time. , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

So occasionally a good customer rings at 4am and says they may have gotten themselves in a bit of a pickle. This courier had woken up early to get on his way to meet his pickup and had not put his lights fully on in an attempt to not disturb others as much at his park up. Unfortunately his good intentions ended up with him missing the track and getting grounded out down the banking. A bit of jacking and blocking and slow controlled pull with a tow rope and out he came. Another happy customer on his way with only minimal delay. , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Easy wee job on the legendary D4D Toyota engine. This one needed a fuel pump timing belt which was a walk in the park to do. Fantastic piece of design there Toyota. Also while we were at it the strut tops and shocks and springs were change though they didn’t half put up a fight coming out their locating positions. , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Unfortunately this outstanding local Buissness is no longer around but always willing to try an fit people in at short notice. Wasn’t charging properly and was suspected of having a faulty alternator it turned out to be a lose connection on the back of the alternator ment it wasn’t charging properly.
