Another Dometic window cracked customers has claimed on insurance for replacement as didn’t know it’s was covered under manufactures warranty as van only a 2022 .

Came across this during a service this week maybe for calling the servant.

Arrived to carry out a service on a 2009 caravan this morning. Straight away noticed handbrake vertical . Upon servicing the brakes found one side linings completely detached & only a little left . Other side starting to detach .
Replacement quoted for.

Common issue on motorhome door catches small spring breaks so catch doesn’t function properly.

When carrying out a habitation service on an older CI motorhome I noticed water dripping from the wheel arch area traced it to toilet flush feed pipe connection leaking.

Customer purchased the caravan but said it banged into the car when braking & handbrake was beyond vertical.
Brakes lining’s replaced along with gas regulator & pigtail as both over 10 years old.

Found during a service on a Bailey this week brake linings low & axle requires refurbishment as wheel has worn through wheel box on one side.

Old Zig charger overcharging & cooked the battery. New charger fitted.

Customer forgot to release the handbrake new lining’s & drums replaced through insurance .

An unfortunate lesson for this new caravan owner. Always ensure van is attached fully & break away cable is attached . Fortunately it came off in country lane outside storage & landed in the ditch could have been on a busy road.
