The Whimsical Redesign of a Stag Minstrel Dresser

When vintage craftsmanship meets theatrical artistry, true magic happens. I am beyond excited to introduce the latest addition to my collection, a custom-reimagined, authentic Stag Minstrel 3-over-2 chest of drawers. Known for its unmatched durability, iconic solid mahogany design, and timeless British heritage, this classic piece has been given a breathtaking, one-of-a-kind artistic transformation.

Drawing inspiration from vintage carnival aesthetic and avant-garde character portraiture, this piece was designed to be a captivating focal point in any room.

The front drawers feature a striking, beautifully detailed portrait of a whimsical harlequin figure, framed by soft neutral tones, textured brushwork, and subtle silver hardware accents.

To complement the moody elegance of the portrait, the top surface has been finished with a uniquely distressed, stone-like blue and grey pattern—providing a durable yet artistic finish.

Hand-painted in a smooth, sophisticated warm farrow and ball London Clay, tone to ground the statement artwork and blend seamlessly into modern or eclectic interiors.

Beyond its unforgettable visual impact, this piece retains all the functionality that makes Stag Minstrel furniture so beloved:
Features three compact top drawers over two spacious deep drawers, making it ideal as a bedroom dresser, hallway accent, or statement living room storage.
Crafted from solid mahogany with smooth-gliding original joinery.
Fitted with sleek silver drop-ring pulls that accentuate the surrealist portrait.

Dimensions:

H68cm D46cm. W81cm
Expertly prep-treated, hand-painted, sealed, and finished with professional-grade materials for durability.

Started working on this stag project that bless has had a hard life. The furniture is solid but was very tired looking, so I hope that when it’s finished it will give it a chance at a new chapter …..

GONE MISSING: One furniture upcycler. Last seen covered in paint dust.
Hey lovely people! I’ve been a bit ghost-mode on here lately, and I owe you an explanation. I’ve still been sanding, painting, and obsessing over furniture... except this time, it was for my own bedroom. 🫣
Turns out, the shoemaker’s children do eventually get shoes, and the upcycler’s bedroom finally got an upgrade. I got a little too caught up in my own DIY bubble, but the paint has dried, the room looks fabulous, and I am officially BACK in business.
Brace yourselves, because I’m returning to your feed with fresh ideas, new flips, and maybe a sneaky peek of my own space. Missed you guys! What have I missed?
