Watch me make a custom bathroom vanity unit made out of British Ash and Oak 🌳
This piece will have a stone top and sink installed on top. It has adjustable shelving and I think it fits the customers brief of something unique very well! I hope you like it.

Wonderful to see my Neighbourhood Cabinet series celebrated amongst so many wonderful makers. Is this the year of dark, rich tones and beautiful textures? Thanks very much .charlesworth for the inclusion.
These cabinets are a celebration of connection, collection and memories and it's wonderful to see them head out into the world.

Happy new year from Goldfinch Brookes! It's been a bonkers year with lots of ups and a few downs. Moving house has been a big positive 🥂 and Trump's tarrifs have been a bit of a downer 🥴
2026 is bringing with it lots of positive changes and I'm excited to show you all what's been going on. As always, my email list is the best way to see what's occurring. Sign up link in my bio.

Some absolutely gorgeous fumed British Oak on display here. Off to one very lucky customer on Friday. Tell me if you've ever seen anything better.

Wonderful to have my Terrace Side Table featured in the Christmas December edition. Thank you to all involved and I highly recommend giving it a read.

Nice to meet you 😁 I've had the pleasure of new followers and new interest recently so thought I'd pop on and say hi.
I'm Gareth Goldfinch Brookes, a proudly self taught designer and maker, creating joyful furniture. I take my inspiration from the urban architecture of my Manchester surroundings to create tactile pieces out of wonderful timber such as Oak, Maple and Walnut.
I'm working on some really exciting projects at the moment so will share more in due course!

A fantastic bit of English Walnut I used for a large end table a few years ago for a wonderful client.
Although English Oak takes my heart, this Walnut is definitely up there.
What's your favourite timber?
