Split bumper repair completed today on a Volkswagen Polo

Mini bumper split

Seat trim split repair in stages. Not perfect but good enough to sell the car. Would be an expensive dealer repair otherwise. The pins are special plastic welding hot staples that provide strong support.

In the middle of a restoration job on a Bmw 840ci. Considering this was Bmw's flagship model in 1998, it's interesting to see how technology has changed in the last 17 years. Apart from the manufacturing changes (you can tell it's a significantly heavier car than today's models with "heavy" features such as glass pop up headlights. No parking sensors or sat nav and a casette tape deck! .
