Due to the recent increase in popularity in car detailing there has been a big grey area created in the difference between ‘car valeting’ and ‘car detailing’.
Car valeting is the process of a simple clean, polish and wax.
Detailing is the the process carried out to restore the paints rectification using a correction process in order to get the paint looking its best i.e. free from swirl marks, scratches and other blemishes ruining the appearance. This is achieved by a thorough cleaning and polishing process using different graded polishes, applicators and products.
A lot of places have started using the term “detailer” to describe what they do however just carry out a general wash/valet.
There is a big difference between the end products.
