38 years ago, Alf and Marie opened Elegant Interiors, a huge part of their lives and something they poured so much of themselves into. Sadly, in June this year, after a short illness, Alf passed away. Alf loved and breathed Elegant Interiors, alongside Marie, and together they built something very special.
Alf went on to sell and fit fireplaces for so many families across Hartlepool, becoming part of so many people’s lives along the way. Marie’s daughter, Lesley, also worked alongside them in the shop for many years and was a much-loved part of Elegant Interiors.
Over the last few days, his daughters have reopened the shop one final time to sell the last few bits. It’s been incredibly emotional, with so many tears, stories and laughs, and a beautiful reminder of just how many hearts Alf touched.
Today we closed the doors for the final time.
Thank you to every customer, friend and family member who supported Elegant Interiors over the last 38 years. We will never forget how loved Alf was, and how much the shop meant to so many.
