Furnihelp Mid Sussex

It is with sadness that after operating for 28 years, Furnihelp Mid Sussex will permanently close at the end of July. This is due to withdrawal of funding from West Sussex County Council.

Consequently, we will not be doing any NEW collections of household items and will deliver requested items from remaining stock during July to people who have been referred to us.

Our volunteers may be able to get duvets, bedding, lamps, cutlery and crockery to referred clients during July and August

Thankyou to everyone who has donated unwanted items, helped reduce landfill that has enabled us to support residents over the years.

If you are having a clear out, please consider us. Desperately short of:
plates, bowls,
saucepans and frying pans
Colanders
Wooden spoons, spatulas, slotted spoons
Kitchen knives
Mugs
Glass wear for water/squash( sorry, no w**e, spirits glasses)

Can collect by car from East Grinstead, Haywards Heath and Lindfield by our volunteers. All other areas and for larger furniture, beds etc will need a van collection.

If you are needing to find a new home for household items, please consider Furnihelp. We urgently require:
dining tables less than 4' in length,
sofas less than 1.7m with fire tags,
3' and 4'6" beds and mattresses in good clean condition with fire tags,

We have been without phone and internet connection since 11 June and the promised replacement router from BT is yet to materialize. Mobile connectivity is also absent or very weak. Will update on here when we are up and running again. Apologies to anyone affected.

We have lots of bric a brac, small furniture, small PAT tested electricals and some amazing Carnivorous plants to sell to help raise awareness of the work we do and raise funds. We are on the corner of the cricket pitch, most conveniently next to Mr Whippy ice cream van!

Looking forward to seeing you all at Lindfield Village Day 2025. We have the usual brick a brac, small PAT tested electrical items and Carnivorous plants.
We will have the van on site, so if anyone has the following, we can take:
clean single duvets
200cm x200cm double summer duvets ( not king size)
clean pillows
Saucepans,
Frying pans
Colanders
Please put bedding in a bag.

Thank you Lindfield for organising, and to everyone who supported us at Village Day. We raised £490, promoted the work of the charity and met up with the majority of our volunteers.
