A third generation family retailer in licensed furniture, lighting and gifts.

Innes is a third generation, family run business that specialises in retailing beautifully designed gifts, furniture, lighting and art prints. All of the collections that we retail are licensed pieces and not cheap imitations. As artists ourselves, we feel it is important that the original designers are recognised for their contribution to our society and therefore we do not source inferior products from the Far East and attempt to pass these off as originals. The price that you pay for many of the pieces on this web site includes a contribution to fund future artists and designers. Innes has been established for over 60 years and have a beautiful gallery that showcases a wide selection of Bauhaus classics by design houses such as Knollstudio, Vitra, Fritz Hansen, Carl Hansen, Verpan, Flos, sitting alongside modern designs from BB Italia, Sancal, Tom Schneider, Ethnicraft, Magis, Content by Conran, Kundalini, HAY and Tom Dixon. Our gallery is based in the pretty town of Hessle, in East Yorkshire and is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm. A Montana Bathroom project we’ve just completed in our Innes show house.

We’re loving how the simple, elegant washbasin, generous storage and mirror come together to create a calm space that works beautifully.

The mix of finishes - microcement walls and floor with a solid oak door, adds an organic quality that feels right at home in a Scandi-inspired bathroom.

Lovely to see Rhea and Kyle at the Vitra Tramshed.

We had a great time catching up, seeing the latest designs and of course trying a few pieces for ourselves.

The new Bascule Lounge Chair we have to say, is very relaxing!

The Anagram Club Sofa, designed to adapt as life changes, with attachable backrests, side rests and side tables... the combinations are endless.

Artek introduces a brown and white zebra textile to their collection and the Domus chair offers an upholstery option.

Just back from a day in London visiting some of our favourite partners and we’d love to share a little of it with you.

First stop, Carl Hansen’s beautiful showroom where we spotted the new Begonya Pendant Lights as soon as we arrived, so pretty. Such a lovely setting to spend a little time and experience the designs for ourselves.

We had a very comfortable sit on the new CH280 sofa whilst having coffee and had a preview of two pieces coming soon: the CH24P Wishbone Chair with its soft leather seat and the sculptural FK64 Scimitar Chair... watch this space.
