Camit Design - Camper Van Furniture

Hi all, so this is our new foldout-slider bed (not entirely happy with the name - so, suggestions welcome). It's 90cm wide, so around a single bed width and in seat form it's a snug 65cm deep, but folds and slides out into an 180cm long single bed with some storage in the body. We'll be looking at some different widths going forward, and some other variants as I think there's potential here. Have a look and feel free to tell us what you think.

Is it that time again already? Well kind of. We started selling these on ebay last November when we are traditionally a little bit quiet. It was a fun project the prototype went to a friend of mine who loaded it with his kids presents. The listing stayed on ebay all this year and in July they started selling again with increasing frequency to the point we've got 5 to ship out next week. So we've added them to the website here: https://camitdesign.com/reindeer-and-sleigh/ And if anyone has any ideas for other Christmas decorations we could make don't hesitate to let us know. We're always open to ideas. We're also running a 15% off promotion (Orders over £100). Just enter the code FB15 to apply it at at the checkout. Limited uses though, so don't hang about.

Haven't done a Work-In-Progress post in ages. But here's the current design project. This has been on the to-do list for about 4 years. A slide out bed with a rear slide out drawer for cooking. Both sections of the bed will have top access. The slide out shelf will be on heavy duty runners and have a storage box for plates, utensils and whatnot. The prototype will be 1800mm long and built in our Steeton workshop and will be available to buy fully built. Will post pictures of the finished bed here.

Easter is coming and looking out the window it definitely feels like the weather is improving. We started experimenting with hexaboard. It's a pretty good material. Feel robust. We've combined it with our standard ply to create a new style of sliding bed, which is available here: https://camitdesign.com/hexaboard-sliding-bed-bed-101/ The one featured below is a 1900mm version and is available for sale if anyone wants to collect from our Steeton workshop.
