I last upholstered these Heals chairs nearly 10 years ago, in a really good quality wool.....but you can see from the "before" photo that nothing can withstand one determined cat!

So, thank you to the cats of Gloucestershire for keeping me in business! 🤣

This linen was kindly supplied by Sofas & Stuff and was printed specially for the job.

The big transformations are always the most satisfying, especially when a bold fabric choice is made. I absolutely love this weave by Linwood Fabric with magenta contrast piping to make it extra special. 🩷

It's already back home being enjoyed by the next generation, and that's what is all about really!

Rescued from the fate of a skip!

Hurray for my client spotting the potential in this pair of mid century chairs which will be going into his newly renovated home. Brought back to life using fabrics from the new collection "Otillo" by Romo, Fabrics & Wallcoverings

Still chuffed to nuts with the pattern matched buttons! 🤣🤭

Last week I upholstered these four dining chairs for my lovely friend's mum. They're old Neptune chairs that had stood the test of time and needed a refresh 💙 The frames and original upholstery were still in excellent condition, so a simple recover with the addition of some extra piping to jazz them up was all that was needed!

Remember.....refurb don't replace! ✌️

Proud to be taking part in UK Small Business Week this week!

The second picture outlines the official aims, but from my perspective, completing every footstool, armchair, cushion or beloved sofa for my lovely clients means so much.

It means shared trust.

Trust in me to do an amazing job giving treasured pieces a new lease of life.

Trust to use the best materials, fabrics and not take shortcuts.

Trust to do right by the environment, regulations, pay my taxes, reply to queries.

All of it. Because like so many other Small Business owners, I really care.

So if you value trust, quality, honesty and attention to detail and respect, support a little business like mine this week. Buy local, find out about the owner and know that you are putting back into this country. 🇬🇧

So what DOES happen when an upholsterer and milliner collaborate??

The big reveal of the tub chairs we've been working on is finally here!!

The process: I measured up, made up the backs and took them to .pocock who then designed each one and spent hours hand embroidering them to depict the FOUR SEASONS. She then delivered them back to me for upholstering.

What do you think? Amazing to take something quite ordinary and through vision & craftsmanship have something truly unique.
