About the Opportunity:

Due to continued growth, significant investment, and an increasing number of contracts with major UK housebuilders, Concept Sliding Solutions Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced Bedroom Designer / Surveyor to join our expanding team.

With additional new manufacturing premises opening in December 2026, alongside substantial investment in new machinery, software and technology, this is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and ambitious UK manufacturing business.

We are looking for a technically minded, organised individual who can confidently undertake site surveys, liaise with customers and produce accurate designs and technical drawings ready for manufacture.

You will work closely with some of our key customers and national housebuilding partners, ensuring that every project is accurately surveyed, designed and specified before entering production.

This is a hands-on role combining site surveying, bedroom and wardrobe design, technical drawings and customer communication.

About You:

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

Fitted bedroom and wardrobe design

Bedroom or kitchen surveying

Sliding and hinged wardrobes

Kitchen design and installation

Bespoke furniture and joinery

CAD and technical drawing

Furniture manufacturing

Housebuilding and construction

Interior fit-out

The successful candidate should have:

Previous experience in surveying fitted furniture, kitchens, bedrooms or similar products.

Excellent measuring and technical drawing skills.

Experience using CAD or specialist furniture design software.

The ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings.

Strong attention to detail and an understanding of manufacturing tolerances.

Confidence communicating with site managers, customers and internal departments.

The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

A practical understanding of how furniture is manufactured and installed.

A professional, reliable and proactive approach to work.

A full UK driving licence.

Experience using ArtiCAD or similar design software would be advantageous, although training on our systems will be provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fit hinges, runners, handles and other cabinet hardware.

Woodworking Machinist x 2 – Immediate Start

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start: Immediate
Shift: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – Midnight

Concept Sliding Solutions is continuing to expand, and we are looking for experienced Woodworking Machinists to join our growing manufacturing team in Hull.

This is an immediate-start position, working a four-day shift pattern of 2:00pm to Midnight, Monday to Thursday.

We manufacture a wide range of products including bedroom furniture, kitchens, media walls, sliding and hinged wardrobes, cut-and-edge components, shaker doors and bespoke joinery products for customers throughout the UK.

We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals with experience operating modern woodworking machinery.

Key Responsibilities

-Operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
-Set up and run machinery to manufacture components accurately to production drawings and specifications.
-Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
-Ensure components are produced to the correct dimensions and finish.
-Monitor machine performance and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
-Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.
-Work closely with production supervisors and other departments to achieve daily production targets.
-Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Machinery Experience:

Experience operating any of the following would be advantageous:

Beam saws
Edge banders
CNC routers and machining centres
Panel saws
Drilling and boring machines
Cabinet and furniture manufacturing machinery

Experience with Biesse or similar CNC and woodworking machinery would be particularly beneficial, although additional training can be provided.

The Ideal Candidate

You will ideally have:

-Previous experience within woodworking, furniture, kitchen, bedroom or joinery manufacturing.
-Experience operating industrial woodworking machinery.
-Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
-The ability to read production drawings and cutting information.
-A good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
-A reliable and flexible approach to work.
-The ability to work independently and as part of a busy production team.

Four-day working week – Monday to Thursday.

Over the last couple of months, we have been busy transforming some seriously tricky spaces.

From awkward alcoves and unusual layouts to rooms that simply needed a fresh start, a well planned design and a skilled installation can make a huge difference.

Sliding door interiors, fitted doors and kitchen storage modules can turn wasted space into something practical, organised and genuinely impressive, all while giving the room a much cleaner, more modern feel.

A great reminder that clever storage isn’t just about fitting more in. It’s about making the space work better for you.
