Kingswood Village Hall is powering the community

A huge thank you to our local MP/councillors for their support, and to the tireless KVCA volunteers whose hardwork, commitment and determination have helped bring this fantastic project to fruition.

Where would we be without these local heroes? 💚

So much of what makes our village a great place to live is thanks to the people who give their time and energy to make things happen for the benefit of us all.

Our new solar panels and battery storage are now supplying the hall’s electricity, with surplus energy being fed back into the grid. It’s a wonderful step towards a more sustainable future, with the potential to deliver savings that can be put back into our community.

The photo might not be the best, but hopefully it gives you an idea of the scale of the installation! I look forward to sharing further updates on the savings we’re making and the benefits this investment will bring.

Could you help us make our village hall even better? If you have ideas, suggestions or would like to offer your support, please get in touch. The hall belongs to our community, and improvements benefit everyone.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in making this project possible. Your hard work is truly valued and greatly appreciated.

Together, we’re making a real difference!

What an amazing weekend of volunteers coming together to make a real difference in our village.

Our brilliant bulb planters in Kingswood managed to get 600 bulbs into the ground, ready to pop up next spring and bring us a wonderful splash of colour.

There are still nearly 1,000 bulbs waiting to be planted, so if you can offer a little green-fingered help, please get in touch with .

Meanwhile, some of our litter-picking volunteers (Kingswood, Tadworth & Lower Kingswood) joined forces for a mega pick along the A217, collecting a staggering 50 sacks of rubbish.

On one hand, it’s incredibly frustrating that people continue to trash the countryside that should be protected and treasured. But on the other, it’s incredibly heartening to see a community of people who genuinely care, giving up their time to clean up other people’s mess.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who shows up and gets stuck in to help make our village(s) a better place.

Want to help with the planting? Please contact .

Want to join the litter pick? Our next Kingswood village litter pick is Sunday 4 October at 10:30am. We’ll meet outside the Village Hall, with tea and coffee afterwards.

Everyone welcome!

Your Village Hall Needs You 🫵

Our village hall is at the heart of our community, but we need your ideas to help make it even better!

* Have an idea for a community event?
* Fancy organising something yourself?
* Would you like to see more activities, social events or entertainment?

Whatever your idea, the KVCA Events Team is here to help turn your thoughts into reality.

Let’s work together to create more opportunities for everyone to meet, have fun and connect with our local community.

Share your ideas with us, big or small, and let’s bring them to life!

Your village. Your hall. Your ideas. Your community.

Another monthly litterpick completed around the village today.

A huge thank you to all our wonderful volunteers, including the familiar and new faces who are helping keep Kingswood looking its best. This month’s haul was noticeably lighter, which we’re taking as a positive sign.

Thanks to Chantal for the delicious apple and sage cake, Sonal from the Village Store for the biscuits, and the KVCA for providing the Village Hall so we can host tea&coffee refreshments and a space to catch up afterwards.

If you want to get involved or tackle a street or an area near you, please get in touch, you’d be most welcome to borrow equipment and organise your own litterpick if our schedule isn’t convenient.

Our next community litterpick is at the Village Hall at 10:30am on Sunday 4th October, weather permitting. Everyone is welcome!
