One of the joys of being a creative acoustic studio that both designs and supplies acoustic finishes is the ability to 'switch things up'!

Our classic 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗦 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗲, known for its three sculptural sizes, has been reimagined as a 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱-𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲.

Originally developed for a hospitality meeting room, 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗦 𝗖𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 are:

Inspired by the principles of Biophilic Design and the 14 Patterns of Biophilic Design framework developed by Terrapin Bright Green, SOLIS tiles bring natural form and acoustic performance together.

🐝 Finished Project -THE HIVE 🐝
Completed during the summer holidays to create a calm and natural environment as SEND provision within the King's School Pontefract, this newly created space is just one designed by Lisa Norton of Harrogate Garden Design for the Pontefract Academies Trust under the directorship of the forward-looking Head Teacher.

acou.space designed and supplied 'the hive' ceiling-mounted acoustic finishes as an effective and designed solution, specifically for this project.

Walking into this room for the first time earlier this week was most inspiring, particularly with regard to vision of individuals to create this unique space as quality SEND provision for young people.

Working alongside designers, acou.space uses original thought to design and supply in accordance with the specifier's original concept to create truly unique and original acoustic finishes that reduce unwanted echo (sound reverberation).

We enjoy enabling acoustic solutions with a biophilic and sculptural edge and are hugely grateful for this opportunity to demonstrate our skills as designers and suppliers of acoustic finishes for a truly exceptional provision.

Designed to support focused working, these rooms are finished with decorative, sound-absorbing acoustic wall coverings in Groove No.2 by acou.space. The surface responds beautifully to light, with shifting shadows adding subtle depth and texture to the space

Created with intention, this booth strikes a balance between aesthetics and functionality, providing a calm, acoustically controlled environment that supports concentration.

These beautifully finished 'focus booths ' are now completed within the WorkWell fully managed workspace at Copthall Bridge, Harrogate.

At acou.space, we’re fortunate to collaborate with some outstanding fitting companies who bring our custom to life within commercial interior environments.

Below are photos showing the final stages of a new home for the Central London Samaritans, designed by Sarah Mizran of Murphy Philipps LLP and completed on site by Pall Mall Projects.

It was a real pleasure to visit the site last week and see the careful installation of GROOVE No. 3 and GROOVE No. 6 wall panels. Despite the compact space, low and varied ceiling heights, and multiple teams working together, the attention to detail was impressive🫡.

A privilege to be a small part of this important project where hundreds of people will be find support and encouragement over forthcoming years.

A wonderful opportunity last week to attend the 'Biophilic Design and Sustainable Sourcing' seminar at the Surface Design Show 2025 and even get a shout-out as a trusted supplier of acoustic finishes.
