Wellhead Upholstery

Just to let everyone know that Dan, who was my Assistant, has now taken over the Wellhead Upholstery Classes. He will be teaching a 4 day Class at Easter and there are a couple of vacancies.
His plan is also to start weekly classes.

As our Head Tutor Geraldine has decided it is time to retire, there will be upholstery supplies and tools for sale.
There are rolls of red stripe webbing, double cone springs 8 inch, 6 inch and 4 inch, boxes of tacks , cones of laid cord (spring twine ) , cones of upholstery thread, stockinet, roll of zips,upholstery tools new and used. Please get in touch if this is something that interests you.

A new term of Traditional Upholstery Classes will be starting up in September. They are held at Scopwick Village Hall near Lincoln on a Monday and Tuesday .The hours are 10am until 3pm.
The Classes are aimed at both beginners and intermediate students. Please get in touch if you would like more information.

An exciting day yesterday . Had a gathering of students at an Afternoon Tea at Clarke’s Farm to say Happy Retirement to our Head Tutor Geraldine. She will be handing over Wellhead Upholstery to Daniel Worthington. Dan has been with Wellhead Upholstery for 9 years now. He came to Classes at the age of 19. Geraldine saw that he had the natural skills to be an excellent Upholsterer and invited him to be an Apprentice. After 3 years training he became an Assistant as well as starting up his own Upholstery business. Gradually over the last 6 years Dan has been given most of the responsibility of the Upholstery and Soft Furnishing side of the business. After Geraldine decided that at 70 years old she should retire especially with the happy news that she is to be a Grandmother soon, Dan was asked to take over the teaching side of the Business and will be teaching the Monday and Tuesday Classes at Scopwick Village Hall. Geraldine is happy to leave everything in Dan’s very capable hands.

Setting up at the Lincolnshire Show. We are in our normal place next to the Beekeeping Society in the Traditional Rural Skills Marquee.Please come to see us. Our students will be demonstrating what they learn in our weekly classes held at Scopwick Village Hall on a Monday and Tuesday. There will be items for sale.

Exciting news ! Tickets have arrived for the Lincolnshire Show. Will be held on the 18th and 19th June. Wellhead Upholstery will be in the Traditional Rural Skills Marquee next to the Bees and near to the Clock Tower. Students will be coming to help demonstrate what they are learning in the weekly classes. There will items for sale. Photos of last year’s show. Please come to say Hello.

Getting everything ready for the Nottinghamshire County Show. Held at Newark Showground this Saturday the 10th May. The Wellhead Upholstery students will be coming to demonstrate what they have learnt in their weekly Classes. These are held at Scopwick Village Hall. There will be items to buy. There will also be competitions for children to enter, with prizes. Hopefully the weather will be as good as last year.

Sorting out our supplies for the new term starting on the 24th March.
There are a couple of vacancies in both the Monday and Tuesday Classes. The hours are 10am until 3pm, held at Scopwick Village Hall, LN4 3PA.The Classes are suitable for beginners and intermediate students. Numbers are restricted to 8 so everyone gets plenty of one to one tuition. It also means they are small, friendly groups. Please get in touch for further details. Photos of students with their items.
