Furniture Sales Consultant Wanted – Lincoln (Tritton Road)

We’re Clayton’s Carpets & Furniture, a long-established, family-run business in Lincoln, and we’re looking for an experienced salesperson who enjoys working with customers and is looking for a stable, long-term role.

The Role

You’ll be selling across our furniture departments, including:

• Sofas from leading brands such as G Plan, Parker Knoll, Stressless and La-Z-Boy

• Beds from leading manufacturers (with over 45 on display)

• Bedroom furniture including wardrobes

This is a consultative, face-to-face sales role in our Tritton Rd / Dixon St, Lincoln showroom.

Customers come to us ready to buy — they’re looking for honest advice, reassurance and someone who knows what they’re talking about.
You’ll guide them through the process and see each sale through to completion, and beyond so attention to detail and ownership matter.

Furniture, sofas, beds, carpets, kitchens, tiles, windows or any similar customer-facing, showroom-based sales role.

Hours
• Full-time position (42 hours per week)
• Includes weekends on a rota basis

Clayton’s Carpets & Furniture Superstore has been serving Lincoln since 1963 and remains one of the area’s largest independent carpet and furniture retailers.

We are looking to add an experienced Warehouse & Forklift Operative to our established team, working from our warehouse opposite our Tritton Road showroom.

This is a hands-on role within a busy, well-organised trade warehouse handling both carpet and furniture.

The role includes:

• Operating forklift and boom truck equipment
• Receiving and storing deliveries
• Handling and organising large carpet rolls
• Measuring and cutting carpets accurately to order
• Loading furniture for customer deliveries
• Preparing daily jobs for our fitting teams
• Maintaining a safe, tidy and efficient warehouse

This is steady, responsible work where getting things right first time matters.

Who This Role Would Suit

This position would particularly suit someone currently working in flooring, furniture, builders’ merchants or a similar warehouse environment who:

• Takes pride in doing things properly
• Understands the importance of reliability
• Values stability and routine
• Is looking for a long-term move within an established local business

We are not looking for a temporary stopgap.
We are looking for someone dependable and trustworthy who wants a permanent role within a financially secure independent company.
