MONDAY MADNESS IS WELL AND TRULY UNDERWAY 😂🔥🔨

Absolutely smashing through a few jobs today, plenty happening in the workshop and approximately 700 things still on the list 😂

So while I’m getting stuck into all that… here’s a little look back at this beauty with 👀👌🏻

Nicole absolutely nailed the design on this one — taking what was a completely blank space and turning it into a seriously useful bit of cabinetry without losing any of the detail.

Full-height storage, deep drawers, arched open sections, tongue & groove backing, traditional detailing and plenty of little bits and bats to keep us entertained in the workshop 😂🔨

Built using MDF and finished off beautifully with hardware from 👌🏻

Always love working alongside Nicole — plenty of ideas bouncing back and forward and somehow we always manage to find another way of making a straightforward wall considerably less straightforward 😂🤝🏻

Still absolutely love how this one came together.

Anyway… enough looking backwards — I’ve about 699 things left to do 😂🔥

THROWING IT RIGHT BACK TO AUGUST 2021 😂🔨

About a year into properly getting stuck into cabinetry and I’d apparently decided it was time to make things considerably more complicated for myself 😂

This was definitely one of the more complex builds I’d taken on at that point — loads of detailing, loads of figuring things out and plenty of time spent on SketchUp, which I was also still learning as I designed it 😂👌🏻

Nothing like learning the software while simultaneously relying on it to tell you how you’re going to build the job 😂

Looking back now there are definitely things I’d do differently… but for August 2021, I’m still pretty bloody proud of this one 👌🏻

And apparently one thing hasn’t changed in five years…

I still haven’t learned to keep things simple 😂🔨🔥

ANDDDD… that’s me done for the day 😂🔨🔥

Nothing quite like standing back at the end of a build and finally seeing everything sitting together exactly how it was supposed to 👌🏻

A lot squeezed into this one, and there’s still plenty happening before we get to the final finished result… but the workshop stage is officially DONE 🙌🏻

Absolutely loving how all the proportions and detailing have come together on this one — now it’s time for the bit that completely changes everything 👀🔥
