Sorry folks, it has been a while since I last posted but I'm still here.

I have just finished my latest piece - a circular expanding table for a client. It is made from solid Oak and Oak and Macassar Ebony veneered plywood for stability. It expands from a four person table to seat up to eight people. Another post will show a video demonstrating how the table expands.

A very unique chair recently came into the workshop for restoration. It had been restored previously but not to a very good standard. The previous restoration was removed and replaced with the correct timber which was stained to match the rest of the chair. It was then cleaned, polished and returned to a very happy client.

Today has been steaming!
An unusual dining chair that needed restoration. The steam bent spindles under the arm rests had been damaged so they all had to be replaced. Now have to wait for them to dry

And now for something completely different! A small job before I went away.

I was commissioned to design a kitchen cabinet to fit in a large kitchen with design influences from Edwin Lutyens. The top of cabinet is made from European oak supplied locally with 4 sliding doors and adjustable shelves. this is finished with a clear lacquer. The base is made from sycamore then painted with Farrow and Ball eggshell. The unit has 2 large cupboards at either end and two drawers and cupboards in the middle. The unit is 2.6mtrs long and 2.5mtrs high. The cabinet was part of extensive upgrade of the kitchen which included solid Oak shelve above the Aga, 2 large bookcases, 2 base units with deep drawers , restoration of the large kitchen table, replacement of all hinges and handles on the existing units, replacement of part of the maple flooring and hats on the 2 tall cupboard units

My latest commission - an understairs cupboard made from tulipwood and mdf panels and painted with Farrow and Ball paint. The right-hand cupboard is for hanging coats and storing shoes and the left-hand side has storage shelves.

My latest project, fitted wardrobes in a bedroom in the roof. The wardrobes were designed to utilize all the space available. Full size wardrobes were made and fitted and then hanging or shelving units were made to fit in the space behind them. The doors and front frame were made from tulipwood then hand painted to the clients colour requirements, the interior and the shelves were made from oak veneered boards then finished with a clear lacquer.

This fitted, painted wardrobe for a client in Oswestry has three deep drawers , two hanging rails and adjustable shelves.

My latest commission was a little challenging - a 3.5mtr high bookcase with a secret door. It was made from local oak and used the original panels on the sides and on the canopy. The panels used to be part of the original organ that was there some time ago
