This is exactly why I love vintage furniture.

There’s something about a piece like this that you just can’t recreate with something brand new.
This lovely antique oak chest has been carefully cleaned and refinished, allowing the beautiful natural grain and warm tones of the timber to really shine.
I particularly love the figuring across the front of the drawers, the brass cup handles and those simple tapered legs. Little details that give an old piece its character.
Rather than changing it completely, the aim here was simply to give the timber a new lease of life while keeping the character that made me love the piece in the first place.

From tired and dated to fresh and timeless…
I really enjoyed bringing this matching pair of bedside tables back to life.
They've been given a complete refresh in a soft, warm cream, with the original character of the pieces still shining through. I’ve kept the brass-toned k***s to add a little warmth against the lighter finish.
I think matching pairs like this can completely change the feel of a bedroom — practical, timeless and just a little bit special.

I think this one deserved to stay natural… 🤎
There’s something about beautiful oak that makes it very difficult to reach for the paintbrush!
This lovely vintage 5-drawer chest has been carefully cleaned and refinished, bringing the warmth and character of the timber back to life while keeping all those details that make it special.
The natural oak grain across the drawers, the lovely original-style cup handles and those beautifully shaped legs all work together to give this piece plenty of character.
Rather than covering the wood, I wanted to let the timber do the talking. 🌳
But what would you have done?

A beautiful new project has just arrived in the workshop.

This stunning Edwardian walnut dressing chest has over a century of history, and it’s ready for a new lease of life.

The big question is… 🤔

Most people would have looked at these and bought new.

I saw solid pine furniture with plenty of life left in it.

After repairs, careful sanding, thorough preparation, priming and several coats of durable paint, these tired bedside tables have been completely transformed into a timeless pair finished with elegant brass hardware.

Furniture like this deserves a second chance—and I love bringing quality pieces back to life.

From dated pine to timeless elegance…

These solid pine bedside tables have had a complete transformation and are now ready for their next home.

Every piece I work on is carefully restored rather than simply painted. These cabinets were fully prepared, repaired where needed, primed, hand painted in a beautiful warm cream, finished with brushed brass hardware and protected with a durable topcoat for everyday use.

I love giving well-made furniture a second life instead of seeing it end up in landfill. Quality furniture deserves to be enjoyed for many more years.
