When a cat pees on your linen cushion cut it out and patch it up.

and I finished this cushion a few years back and this week it came back for some patches over the accident hot-spot.

Intentional reworking of a beloved and giant (3m solid wool 🥵) cushion.

Suns out nice innit. I'm at the shady end of the workshop skiving leather piping for a banquette back rest.

Hand skiving is necessary to thin the leather to reduce bulk in the seams. It's time-consuming but satisfying.

Been seeing a lot of this squawking 'bin chicken' as it's been fondly named - not sure what Josef Frank would make of its new tag.

Working on two rather large Svenskt Tenn sofas with and . Pattern matching both is painstaking but worth it. The final sofa will look the bee's knees. Almost there...is it summer holidays yet?!

Working with this Kuba cloth to make some cushion covers.

Traditionally woven in Democratic Repulic of Congo from raffia palm fibres. The cloth usually features bold graphic patterns in shades of black, brown and neutral colours.

Stiffer and more like paper than fabric I'm used to. Wish me luck installing a zip eek!

This chair belonged to a friend of my parents. She gifted me the frame before she very sadly passed away.

It's sat lonely in shed and studio for too long. Katrina would have loved to see it covered in a bright bold fabric like her art so I'm going to use Tweed Tumeric.
