The Snug at The Newman.

Just beyond the welcome area, this intimate space acts as a gentle threshold between Reception and the Brasserie. Inspired by the traditional Victorian pub, it is designed as a place of comfort and anticipation.

A curved embrace of soft geometry and rhythmic detailing draws you in from the moment you arrive. Warm pools of light and layered textures create a sense of immersion, inviting guests to settle, pause and take in their surroundings.

An introduction to the mood of the hotel.

A closer look at the suites at

Inspired by Fitzrovia’s layered past and crafted for the present, the suites balance character with calm. References to Fitzrovia’s bohemian queen, Nancy Cunard, are woven through form and detail, while a restrained palette of natural materials sets the tone. Warm burr wood, polished metal accents and deep hues of burnt red and petrol blue bring an Art Deco edge, softened by chocolate brown leather for a taste of Old England.

In the en-suites, graphic tiling and bespoke stone vanities nod to the area’s Victorian architecture, with shifts in scale and a mix of metal finishes adding a subtle eccentricity.

A current source of inspiration 🖤

“Grand Dame of Scandinavian design – Marta Maas-Fjetterstrom. In the middle of the 20th century her creations have conquered the hearts of designers and art critics alike and since then they remain among one of the most sought-after carpets in the world. The mesmerizing flat-weave before your eyes is a fine example of Mass-Fjetterstrom’s skill. Its entire design is kept in the spirit of Scandinavian philosophy which assumes that utilitarian objects should be practical, functional, qualitative and beautiful at the same time. “

Portrait of Gladys Hoskins (1900-1979) by British avant-garde artist and modernist Percy Wyndham Lewis.

Bold lines and minimal details on distinctive blue paper purchased from a local drug store form this intriguing portrait. Using the lessons he has learnt from continental modernism, Lewis’ work captures the strain and intensity on Hoskins face perfectly.

Part of our inspiration for an upcoming hotel project.

The entry of this Presidio Heights home received very little light and so to brighten the space, the Sanders Mirror from the L + A Collection was introduced within the hallway scheme. The addition of the mirror helps to bring in natural light from outside, creating reflections of the outside within the interior space.

In addition, the entry way needed storage and so to create a functional and beautiful solution, the Sanders Sideboard was selected. Together with the mirror, both pieces help to create a welcoming and bright entrance space.
