We’ve had a wonderful time with our antique dealer residing in our Rugby Street Showroom for the month of May. Tomorrow is her last day with us. She’ll be open from 11am - 5pm along with our Lambs Conduit Street shop which is just around the corner. We’re going to miss her like mad but can look forward to thinking up another activity to do together soon. Pictured is a Regency Giltwood Convex mirror available from on a new P&H sofa we were photographing today…more details to follow!

Like stepping into the shade of a Mediterranean garden on a hot summer day. Crisp, clean and wonderfully refreshing, leaving the senses feeling soothed and awakened in the summer heat. The fresh green notes of basil and sparkling neroli feel instantly cooling and reviving.

This rich body of soap, cast in two parts and individually made by hand in London, is gently perfumed with a fresh sparkling citrus herbal fragrance. Opening with fresh basil top notes supported by nuances of lemon and mandarin leading to a heart of radiant neroli, rose, jasmine and cyclamen. The base is composed of rich musk, precious woods and amber.

We’ve taken delivery of the newest addition to the C. Atherley collection - Geranium No.4. Based on the pelargonium Attar of Roses. A true labour of love, this elusive fragrance took the C. Atherley team over two years to perfect and captures the delicate essence of the leaf from which it is derived. Attar of Roses is one of my favourite fragrances and I can personally vouch that the hand wash, hand cream and bubble bath is some of the loveliest I have ever used. Bridie .atherleylondon

Last week Rebecca gave us an early C20th Kashmiri Box that glows like nothing else. We both agree, we’ve never seen anything in this colour before and we’ve seen a lot! Staying vibrant and Kashmiri are a pair of Red Twist Candlesticks, the red is so rich and bright they hardly need candles!

Due to a bereavement in the family, Rebecca Christie-Millers residence will be operating slightly differently this week. P&H manager Natasha is stepping in and will be opening the showroom between the normal hours of 2pm - 6pm, Wednesday to Friday this week. She won’t have all the answers to your queries about Rebecca’s wonderful stock but will certainly do her best. We send Rebecca and her family all of our love and look forward to seeing her back with us soon.

Back in Stock! Ancient Lion Soaps.

Liberal, Nobel & Generous

A lion in antiquity is seen to portray the Roman people as well as the strength and sovereignty of the Roman Empire.
Aristotle describes the lion in his Historia Animalium as a ‘liberal, noble and generous’ creature. Associated with power, its ferocious nature was thought to protect the bearer from the Evil Eye.
This rich body of soap, cast in two parts and individually made by hand in London, is gently perfumed with a fresh and inspired fragrance; YELLOW Basil & Neroli. PINK Cardamon & Mimosa, GREEN Eucalyptus.
