A unusual commission for me insofar that it's an exterior cabinet. It houses waste, recycling and food waste bins.

When I was asked to add shelving in the same room I suggested using the "splash" of Black Walnut again, but the other way up. My customer loved the idea he felt "it reflects the circular nature of life"

I've been asked what the "splash" of Black Walnut wood in these pictures is all about. Well the run of doors and drawers is so long (7 metres) that the top rail of wood had to be in two pieces. To cover the join I made a "keystone" of Black Walnut (top photo) to match the flooring and when I suggested that the detail could run down to the floor the client was really excited by the idea.

Solid ash shelves, brackets held by hidden wall screws into dovetail slots in the back edge of shelves. Neat and strong. Brackets can be shaped to your design ❤️🌲🌈
