We're looking for a creative and organised Design Assistant to join our London studio.

An opportunity for a recent design graduate or someone at the beginning of their career to gain hands-on experience in the design and delivery of bespoke kitchens and fitted cabinetry for high-end residential projects.

Working alongside our experienced design and project teams, the role combines creative design support with studio and showroom responsibilities, offering valuable insight into every stage of the process, from initial concepts through to installation.

A considered use of materials and architectural detailing brings character to this bespoke drinks area.

Set within a softly curved alcove, open shelving creates space for displaying glassware and collected pieces, while the antiqued mirror adds depth and a subtle reflection of light.

Below, reeded natural oak cabinetry introduces warmth and texture, complemented by the delicate veining of the marble-effect worktop.

A beautifully integrated detail that feels both practical and part of the wider interior.

Bespoke is about more than choice.

It’s about designing a kitchen that belongs, to the architecture, the wider interior and the way a home is lived in.

From the tone and character of the timber to the movement of natural stone, every material, finish and detail is considered in relation to the space around it.

The result is a kitchen that feels individual, yet entirely at home within its surroundings.

A softer take on the Shaker door.

For this kitchen, a bespoke lay-on Shaker door was designed with a 30mm radius to each corner, gently softening the traditional rectangular profile.

It’s a subtle detail, but one that changes the character of the cabinetry, bringing a more refined, individual feel while sitting comfortably within the architecture of the room.

One of the many details made possible when cabinetry is designed specifically for a space.

The curved marble splashback in this kitchen, designed in collaboration with is a subtle nod to the arches found throughout the home.

More than a functional detail, its sculptural silhouette softens the space, creating a natural connection between the cabinetry and the wider architecture.

As Ben Kempton, Director at 202 design, explains:

“By echoing these forms within the joinery, we created a stronger connection between the kitchen and the architecture, while the curve itself softens the composition around the sink.”

A beautiful example of how the smallest bespoke details can bring a sense of cohesion to an interior.

Designed with a sense of continuity from one space to the next.

The hand-painted Shaker cabinetry and lime-washed oak island frame the view through to the adjoining utility, where bespoke joinery continues the considered approach beyond the main kitchen.

A family kitchen where every space has been thoughtfully connected.

A softer approach to a hardworking detail.

The beautifully curved extractor brings a sculptural quality to this Fulham kitchen, its smooth form providing a soft contrast to the distinctive veining of the Fior di Viola porcelain and dark stained oak cabinetry below.
A functional element, thoughtfully integrated into the wider design.

Reeded glass brings a softer approach to display cabinetry in this Marylebone kitchen, offering glimpses of the pieces within while keeping the overall elevation beautifully considered.

Paired with hand-painted Shaker cabinetry, Calacatta Altissimo marble and warm brass detailing, it adds texture and depth to this light-filled space.

September, lately.

A month of new surroundings and new beginnings, as we settle into countryside life at our new West Country office.

Alongside site visits, projects taking shape and plenty happening behind the scenes, there was also time for a team birthday celebration.

A busy start to autumn, and lots to look forward to as we head into October.

Designed as an extension of the kitchen, bespoke dining room joinery provides a considered mix of concealed storage and open shelving, creating space for both practical pieces and objects on display.

The lime-washed oak continues the material palette through the adjoining spaces, bringing warmth and continuity to this Marylebone home.
