mission is to change people’s perspective and take their craft out of the realms of ‘the second-hand and cheap mentality,’ into a league of its own by giving their artisans a first class selling platform where only ‘quality approved’ work will be listed for sale. They also provide a support group for sellers and potential sellers where the administrators of the group work hard in their own time, to help artisans reach the standard of photography and pricing required to list The Bespoke Furniture Collection, thus creating a friendly little community of like-minded, creative people. Gayna Lyons-Illingworth stated “The Bespoke Furniture Collection is the creation of seven women, formally members of a group in the USA called The Artisan Markets, which was created by an interior designer called Rebecca Hansen Groskreutz. Rebecca taught them how to present their work in a professional manner and everything they needed to know about the business of ‘selling furniture for a profit’, so now they want to do the same for furniture artisans all over the UK. This is a quote from one of the sellers about the help and advice they receive in the support group”:
